Document database
Document databases store data typically as JSON/JSON, like a document. They also use JSON for querying the data stored in the database. They are suitable for storing semi-structured aa well as structured data. In memory database
In memory databases store data in the primary memory instead of disk storage thereby improve the data access and storage time. The primary use case of in memory database is as a ‘Caching Layer’ in front of primary database. At Optigrise, our experience in memory database include Redis, Memcached and SAP HANA.
Time Series database (TSDB)
There are multiple existing time-series databases in the market like InfluxDB or AWS managed Timestream in the cloud. Another popular timeseries database is Promethous open source solution, which is now part of CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation).
SAP HANA
Optigrise has expertise in SAP HANA, an in memory database which means it stores the data in primary memory and not in disk storage as done by traditional RDBMSs. It is column oriented and is suitable for both OLTP and OLAP. Apart from storing and querying transactional data, it also provides analytical features.
